Chuji Chutaro
Chuji Chutaro was born in Mille and saw World War II in the Marshalls as a child. He was instrumental in the foundation of the Republic and served as one of the nation's first senators. After retirement, he became an educator. Note: he has donated to the Story Project the U.S. Navy transcript of the inquest into the murder of his mother by Japanese soldiers in 1945.
